Tyler - blue room

Description

Featuring Raiya's new Tyler M6. Hey, sometimes you just want to go with something basic, you know? Top is a standard blue room render (although it has one light too many, which I didn't notice until late) and the bottom a chiaroscuro style blue room image.  (Wherein I also noticed that ... certain parts of him should perhaps acknowledge the existence of gravity.) The position in the top image is ... not the best, I admit. (Other parts of him also needed to acknowledge the existence of gravity, or at least make an effort to push back.)

Tyler is ... interesting. His head and possibly much of his body come from a texture I can't remember having seen before. At first, I thought it might be painted/darkened diffuse of a much lighter texture, but if that's the case, it's VERY well done indeed, and I kind of don't think it is the case. (He does have permanent under-chin hair, which is actually slightly more annoying than Rob Elite's mustache). His chest and body front come from the DAZ African merchant resource. His genital from Benjamin/Tyrese, which explains why she used the DAZ African resource; if she couldn't use Benjamin/Tyrese except for his genital -- and I suspect that was restricted, one way or another -- and she didn't want to edit his hair off (hard to do without making the texture look too flat and smooth), then she needed a relatively hairy (relatively) torso to even try to blend the genital texture with the body texture. Raiya has, unfortunately, been through the wars about providing male characters without genital textures -- the forum was extraordinarily vicious about Benjamin M5 not having one, and considering how bad they can be on a good day, that's saying something. She hasn't provided a texture without one since then. That said, I think Tyler might have been better off without a genital texture; Benjamin's dingus really doesn't match the rest of Tyler.

I'm not absolutely certain where the new head texture ends and something else begins. I noticed what I first thought was a seam on the back of Tyler's head, but it's in a place where you wouldn't have a texture seam; it runs across both sides of SkinHead. It almost looks like a scar, in fact. That may be where the interface between the new head texture and the DAZ African texture.

The Subsurface shader had settings that weren't quite to my taste (although I understand better now what she was trying to do in one thing, thanks to Sickleyield), so I used a variation of something that I worked out for Zere, but pulled the specular darker in this one to try to get something similar to what I had with one of the Tyrese images. Stronger subsurface and stronger velvet as well. (Pulled in Nevio's subsurface maps, which really shouldn't have worked, but somehow did and I'm not going to complain.)

And finally, added REAL Hairy to Tyler's chest and groin to give the permanent hair some dimension.
