The original first ad image for the Cerulean campaign, which Pour Homme wound up not using at all.
CCO JEFFREY: Like we said before, we knew that we wanted to do something Mucha inflected or influenced for Cerulean. We shot this first one before the concept really came together, before we settled on using "The Arts" as the inspiration.
CCO JAKE: Have to admit, I'm sorry that this one didn't fit. I think it may be my favorite of all of them. It just so ... quiet. Which doesn't really fit Cerulean at all -- not that it's loud, of couse, but it is very fresh and sharp
CCO JEFFREY: We thought about using it for the year-later refresh on the ads, but by then, he'd moved on, we'd moved on, and people were just getting used to the idea that our ads wouldn't have Trey in them again. It didn't make sense to bring this out of mothballs rather than doing something new and different.
"La contemplation" was never used for a Cerulean ad, although it was later shown in the art gallery retrospective celebrating transgressive approaches to advertising from this and other companies.

Inspiration, as previously noted: Alphonse Mucha, The Arts
A deceptively simple setup, with more postwork than I thought I'd wind up needing. (Also, layers. Many layers.) Essence dress and set by Mada, along with the old Amarseda hair by DAZ/AprilYSH (there's a hair that it would be useful to update -- if nothing else, to put the morphs at the top level instead of the neck, but it renders shockingly fast, and it has a look that I'm not sure anything else in the store has). Esha's Primroses, scaled up about 1000%, in the window, and the lily from Esha's Lily Nymph in TD's hand.

I like the color composition on this one. His skin and hair really pop from the pale aqua that everything else is.
